Best robot vacuums by home size

I found no authority that sizes robots by floor area, and rated runtimes can run well ahead of what reviewers saw. I'd start with the Eufy Omni E25 for a mid-size home and treat large-home claims with care.

  1. Drawing of robot vacuum in a lit arch, with a small owl on top

Best for 700 to 1,200 sq ft (65 to 110 m²)

    eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E25

Expert Reviews' lab had it near 100% on rice and dog hair. TechRadar saw it return to the dock mid-clean, which stretches the job.

  2. Drawing of robot vacuum in a lit arch, with a small owl on top

Best for mostly hard floors in a mid-size home

    Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow

Gizmodo praised its deep mopping. It's tall, it misses corners, and a recharge takes nearly three hours.

  3. Drawing of robot vacuum in a lit arch, with a small owl on top

Best for high thresholds and thick rugs

    Roborock Saros 20X

Expert Reviews rated the plain Saros 20 highly on rugs and object avoidance. I couldn't read a test of the 20X itself.

  4. Drawing of robot vacuum in a lit arch, with a small owl on top

Best for a mid-size home with little mopping

    Roborock Q10 VF+

Long rated runtime and an auto-empty dock. The mop pads stay your job, and I couldn't read a test of this model.

  5. Drawing of robot vacuum in a lit arch, with a small owl on top

Best for under 700 sq ft (65 m²)

    iRobot Roomba 105 Combo Robot

A LiDAR robot on a charge-only base, so you empty it and refill water by hand. I couldn't read an independent test.

Size a robot on what reviewers timed, and only then on the rating. I found no official floor-area limits for robots. CHOICE, the Australian consumer group, calls them best for small to medium houses with hard floors, paired with a regular vacuum. RoboVacGuide, a single affiliate site, gives the only numbers I found: under 700 sq ft (65 m²) 90 minutes is enough, 700 to 1,500 sq ft (65 to 140 m²) wants 120 or more, and past that it wants 180 or recharge-and-resume. Treat those as rough.

I didn't test these robots. Results come from Expert Reviews, TechRadar and Gizmodo, and for three of the five I couldn't read a test of the exact model. Prices were checked November 2, 2026.

Under 700 sq ft (65 m²): Roomba 105 Combo, $319.99

It has ClearView LiDAR and iRobot says it stores up to 3 maps. It's a Charge-only base, so the bin and water tank are yours to deal with. In a one-bedroom, that's a fair trade. iRobot showed a lower limited-time price on November 2, 2026, with no end date, so check it before buying.

The battery is 3,000 mAh. I'd skip it for carpet-heavy homes or anything larger. Check your narrowest gap between chair legs against its 13.19 in width. I haven't seen a test I could read, so this is a spec-sheet opinion.

700 to 1,200 sq ft (65 to 110 m²): Eufy Omni E25, $999.99

My first pick. Expert Reviews' lab had it close to 100% on rice and dog hair, and nearly 65% on flour in carpet. TechRadar says it did some of the best mopping it has seen once set to Max by hand.

Eufy rates 216 min vacuuming. Expert Reviews' numbers suggest around 720 sq ft (67 m²) in a session. TechRadar's home of about 700 sq ft (65 m²) took about an hour and a half, with returns to the dock. So it gets there, but slowly. Ask for 4.37 in under your furniture, per Eufy, though Expert Reviews puts it at 13 cm (5.1 in) with the LiDAR tower.

700 to 1,200 sq ft (65 to 110 m²), hard floors: Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, $999

Gizmodo says the roller cleaned deeper than any earlier robot it tried. Its 650 sq ft (60 m²) apartment took one pass on gentler modes, and vac-then-mop at high power barely finished. Corners are the weak spot. My review covers it in full.

700 to 1,500 sq ft (65 to 140 m²), less mopping: Roborock Q10 VF+, $399

Rated at 150 min, which clears RoboVacGuide's 120-minute line on paper. Abt lists multiple floor maps and a mop that lifts 8 mm over carpet, and it says not to use the robot on high-pile carpet. The dock is Auto-empty; no mop washing, and that's the catch: pads go to the sink by hand. I found no test of this exact model I could read.

Over 1,500 sq ft (140 m²): Saros 20X, $1,599.99, with caution

Rated at 36,000 Pa. Abt says its chassis raises the robot to cross thresholds up to 3.46 in. Expert Reviews tested the plain Saros 20, not the 20X. It reports Roborock's claim as a two-part step, under 4.5 cm and then under 4.3 cm, with flat space between. Those add up to 3.46 in by my arithmetic, so don't read that as one sill. The Saros 20 got a 100% result in its standard cleaning tests, and thick rugs stayed flat and in place.

Battery still bites. Expert Reviews' upstairs of about 226 sq ft (21 m²) used 30% of a charge on standard, which by my arithmetic is about 750 sq ft (70 m²). That's close to the Eufy's figure. Expert Reviews passes on the maker's figure of around 2 hours 30 minutes for a full charge, so a large home means breaks. It adds that the Tapo RV50 and Eufy C28 offer around 90% of the capability for half the price. I'd pay only if you have high sills or thick rugs to cross.

I wouldn't trust any of these as the only vacuum in a home this size. If you need a main machine, my guide to vacuum type by home size starts there, and the home sizer takes your own numbers.
